- Reports To: Product Development Manager
Purpose of the role
As a key member of the Production/Development team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the team across product development by helping to ensure smooth operations from design to final product delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Support the Product Development Manager in executing multi-category seasonal ranges.
- Maintain the seasonal Critical Path
by tracking sample status, lab dip approvals, and other key milestones. - Proactively follow up with vendors
to ensure deadlines are met and flag any potential delays to the PD Manager. - Maintain seasonal tech packs and
accurately update Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure requirements are clearly
communicated to suppliers. - Manage the logging, tracking, and
organization of all development samples, serving as the main point of contact
for sample whereabouts. - Prepare all samples for fit sessions
by measuring garments against specifications and checking construction. - Proactively contribute to fit
sessions, taking detailed notes and capturing photos/videos of fit issues to
help perfect the design aesthetic. - Serve as a key point of contact for
daily communication with overseas and domestic suppliers and factories. - Maintain all departmental documents,
including product trackers and the development plan, ensuring complete and
accurate information. - Perform competitor research and
assist with market analysis as needed to support brand standards and market
placement. - Organize and ship all sample
packages to vendors and partners.
Key Metrics of Success
- Ensure all product
samples are measured and documented in alignment with weekly fits. - Maintain all critical path milestone
dates and provide clear data capture for key performance metrics. - Maintain all departmental documents
and trackers with 100% accuracy. - Support the team in achieving a
weighted intake margin of 70% or higher through diligent tracking and cost
negotiation support

- Internal: Technical/ Development /Production/Design Teams
- External: Supply Chain
Skills and Experience Required:
- 1–2 years of experience
in fashion production or product development, preferably within multi-product
womenswear. - Solid understanding of garment
construction, fit, fabrics, trims, and finishing techniques. - Proficiency in PLM software (or
similar development tools) and Microsoft Excel is essential. - Excellent communication and
problem-solving abilities, with the ability to interface effectively with
external partners. - Superior organizational and
time-management skills with a keen attention to detail.
