Hey Beyond Niners, welcome back to Life Beyond, a corner of the internet where I share what I’ve been loving and leaning into this month. If you’re on the lookout for a new comfort series, a Bristol spot worth knowing about or want to know what pieces I’m most excited about from our upcoming summer drop, you’ve come to the right place. Let’s get stuck in…
NEW DISCOVERY
Our photographer Kate, the co-founder of Well Curated has just opened a hot yoga studio in Bristol called Well Flexed. It’s a really premium infrared hot yoga studio. There’s a mix of classes, restorative yin and meditation, right through to really spicy, fast flowing vinyasa. I’ve already been four times in their first week. I’d never done hot yoga before but afterwards you feel on a real high. They also have Nordic and infrared saunas and ice baths, so you can do a class and then a recovery session. There are also things like PEMF mats, red light therapy and massage guns. It’s a really beautiful space, they’ve thought about everything.
I’m reaching for the Knitted T Shirt a lot at the moment. It’s good for that in between weather because it’s a bit warmer than a regular T-shirt, but since it’s a cotton knit it’s still really breathable. You can layer a long sleeve underneath it, or wear it under a cardigan or jacket which makes it a great transitional piece. It looks great with loads of things too – it works really well with denim and really great with some of our patterns. I also think it’ll work just as well into those cooler summer days too.
WATCHING
We recently watched Small Prophets on the BBC, which was a nice easy, but eccentric watch. We loved The Detectorists written by Mackenzie Crook which felt like this really gentle, hug of a comedy. Small Prophets is his new one and it has a similar gentle little lilt to it, but it’s a bit more left field. It’s about a man who grows these little creatures – he calls them homunculi – in jars, and they’re prophets you can ask questions to and they’re only able to give truthful answers. It’s about him searching for his missing partner. It was heartwarming and a bit silly.

FOREVER FAVOURITE
One thing I never regretted purchasing was my leather jacket. I bought one from Whistles in my twenties and saved up for it, which felt like a huge investment at the time. I wore it for about fifteen years but now it’s a bit tight, so I’m on the hunt for a new one that can stand the test of time like my original one. I think a really classic leather jacket is such a worthwhile investment. It’s something you keep for decades. Maybe a leather jacket done the Beyond Nine way is on the horizon? I’d love that. Until then, the search continues.
There are loads of things I’m looking forward to dropping in April, but my key favourites are the Miley shirt and Mathilde trousers in this amazing paprika colour. The Miley shirt I fell in love with when I first saw it and the fabric is my favourite of the season, a slub linen-cotton blend that has a really nice feel but still holds structure, so you get a great shape. That fiery orange paprika colour will be amazing for summer. Honestly I want the Miley shirt in every colour we’re doing.
I’ve been making these snacks for the kids — I call them nutballs but I think a lot of people call them protein balls. It’s literally dried fruit and nuts blended together and rolled into balls, then coated in desiccated coconut. There’s also a version that works with seed cycling, which I mentioned in my previous newsletter. They’re great for after school because the kids always have this dip in energy and it gives them a nice sustained boost before dinner.
We’ve just hosted an amazing Denim Event with our community last week and it was so lovely to meet some of you. We’re looking forward to hosting more of these across the year, so if you missed out keep an eye out in your inbox for more invites coming soon.
That’s all from me for now. From transitional wardrobe heroes to new discoveries and a glimpse of what’s coming next at Beyond Nine, there’s plenty to feel excited about as the season shifts.

X Naomi
