Life Beyond May '26

This month I’ve been thinking about the joy in small details – from slow mornings spent in the garden, to comforting TV recommendations and the pieces I’m reaching for on repeat because they make me feel confident and happy.

TO STAY

We’ve just returned from a stay at Cottage Orné in Cornwall and cannot recommend it enough, such a heavenly hide-away in the countryside. If you fancy visiting too, we’ve teamed up with Cottage Orné to give away a two-night stay in a one-bed cottage, including use of the heated outdoor swimming pool, tennis court, and yoga studio – simply enter here.

TO DO

I’m trying to be really intentional about noticing the little things: blossoms on the trees, the way nature keeps on giving, regardless of what's going on in the world or in your personal life. Spring is such an incredible reminder of that. Emerging from winter is hopeful, even when the world feels bleak, spring will always come round!

WATCHING

I recently watched and loved Rooster on Apple TV. Steve Carrell just gets better and better (in my opinion, at least). Funny and comforting, it leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy. Go watch it!

WEARING

I’m really loving a smock layered over trousers, and this is the perfect time of year. I’ve been layering our Nina dress in black over all of my elasticated trousers (always a must). I’m particularly loving Nina with our Tori jeans in sandstone.

NEW DISCOVERY

I was lucky enough to stay at 8 Holland Street for my birthday recently and fell in love with the vases by Ilex. Specifically designed to grow acorns and avocados, it feels like such a nice insight into the growing process. My eldest is a keen botanist, so we’re attempting to germinate our own avocados at the moment. A way of bringing nature into the home and a really fun thing to do with the kids.

INVESTMENT PIECE

We are known for our trousers and there’s a reason for that. We really were one of the first to make comfy trousers feel fashion-led and we're very particular about the elastic we use, making sure it's not restrictive or compressing.

Whether it's linen, jersey or denim, once you've worn trousers with an elasticated waist, it's hard to go back. You’ll be hooked and wonder how you ever wore regular jeans.

NEW FAVOURITE

I’m particularly enjoying the floral stamped gingham linen from our Early Summer collection. It’s a beautiful mix of our signature gingham with a fun flower print that feels really unique and joyful – I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it.

SMALL PLEASURES

Honestly, just sitting in the garden with my feet on the ground and a coffee listening to the birds. My husband has always done it, he goes outside first thing to tend to the plants and now I've started joining him because I’ve finally cottoned-on to how good it makes you feel.

LONDON HOT-SPOT

I don’t have a recipe this month but my younger brother – who’s a Michelin-starred chef – has been very busy creating plenty of them. He’s just taken over as Executive Head Chef at Igni in Mayfair (proud sister moment!), and we were invited to the soft opening. The kitchen is open plan and a lot of their dishes are cooked over fire, so it’s really fascinating to watch everything get made in front of you. It’s definitely a treat to go there and a really good spot for a very special celebration – no bias!

WHAT'S AHEAD

The Beyond Nine team are busy prepping for our next sample sale happening in London next week, and if it’s as popular as our previous ones, I’d recommend getting there early to ensure you don’t miss out! You can get your ticket and find out more info here.
