Welcome back to the last Life Beyond of 2025! My little corner of the world, where I share my ultimate favourites, newest discoveries and whatever else has been floating my boat this month. In December, I ventured out of my comfort zone with a genre of book I usually avoid, got very excited about an exhibition I’m visiting with my mum and talked about what 2026 holds for Beyond Nine.
Go get a snack, take a seat, and let’s get stuck in.
2025 FAVOURITE
I’ve said it before, but I’m obsessed with knitwear – and I love every single piece we’ve released this year, especially our Heirloom Knitwear collection. I’ve got the Ruth jumper in black and have worn it so much. It’s one of those pieces I know I’ll reach for year after year.
XMAS GO-TO
I’ve got a few parties over Christmas, so I’m planning to wear the Priya top a lot. I love how easily you can dress it down. Lately, I’ve been pairing mine with jeans for a more laid-back look. It’s a great Christmas Day outfit that looks like you’ve made a bit of effort without any of the actual effort.
JANUARY WISHLIST
The Bea jacket & Naima dress
There are a couple of pieces I’ve been waiting for ages to get my hands on. The first is the Bea jacket – the perfect oversized denim jacket that will see you through spring, and roomy enough to wear over a big chunky jumper. It’s such a cool cut, with beautiful detailing, and it will never date. I’ve literally been waiting for it since I tried our first sample over six months ago.
The Naima dress is a cocoon style dress in lovely heavyweight structured cotton which I think will look really lovely layered with the persimmon Lila top underneath – a really bright pop of orangey-red and big chunky boots. And again, can be worn into spring with a t-shirt and sandals or with nothing underneath as move into summer. A lot of exciting things are coming in January but these are the two I’m hoping to bag.
READING
All of the Colours of the Dark by Chris Whittaker
I’ve just finished All of the Colours of the Dark by Chris Whittaker. It’s not my usual genre (a thriller!), and it gave me full-body tingles at several points. I genuinely couldn’t put it down because I needed to know what happened. Now that I’ve finished, my life can resume – but it was absolutely gripping, especially for someone who doesn’t normally read thrillers.
EATING
Forza Wine at the National Theatre
I went to Forza Wine at the National Theatre in London a couple of weeks ago and it was so good. I went with three girlfriends, and the best part was that you can order the whole menu for £130. No decisions, no “who’s having what,” and surprisingly great value split between us. Everything was delicious, and the chocolate orange whippy ice cream for pudding was… wow.
EXHIBITION
I’m heading to an exhibition called House this month with my mum, at County Hall Pottery, a new ceramic gallery and studio in central London. It’s all about objects made for the home, from sculptures to beautiful mugs, and as a ceramics obsessive, I’m very excited.
Jess wears the Lily black velvet top & Naomi wears the Nova bone jersey top.
COOKING
With Jess Elliott Dennison
I was lucky enough to have Jess come to my house last month and try some of the delicious dishes she’s so generously shared with our community. We made a three-cheese macaroni. If you aren’t adding white wine and white miso to your bechamel – these are a game changer. Cook this amazing crowd-pleaser this festive season and shop her recipe books on our site.
BEYOND NINE 2026
We’ll be having our first-ever in person workshop with Jessie Cutts in late January which we’re very excited about – more info on that to come soon! We’ll also be getting very serious about our renovation of the new office with a lot of time spent project managing our new space, collaborating with Sophie from Cote de Folk, with the hopes of being in there by February/March time.
So there you have it, another year at Beyond Nine. Thank you for supporting us and for choosing to wear us time and time again. It will never become a novelty to see you wearing us on the street and sharing us on socials. There’s lots of exciting things happening in the new year, and I can’t wait to share more of it with you. See you in 2026!
