Ever wondered what my favourite Beyond Nine piece is, or which cookbook is making me actually look forward to midweek dinners? This is where you’ll find it all.
FOREVER FAVOURITE
I’ve had my Daisies in fleeceback since we released them and I still wear them all the time, especially at this time of year. I love the shape, they’re super comfy and cosy, and so easy to wear. They’re my go-to on slow Sundays after a roast and a film, but they also work with a shirt and for the office. They’re reliable, endlessly versatile, and I really feel like me in them.
REACH-FOR-ON-REPEAT
The thing I’m constantly reaching for now that the weather’s turned? Knitwear – always. I’m a knitwear nerd. I’ve got my eye on Ruth, our classic roll neck from the heirloom knitwear collection. But until then, I’ll be living in my black Coco knit from last year. It’s chunky, warm, and I love the swingy, square shape and the rolled hem. It just works with everything.
WISHLIST
I can’t wait for party wear to land tomorrow, and I’m counting down to the new knitwear launching in early November. Keep an eye out for sneak peeks dropping soon…
BOOK
I read Piglet by Lottie Hazell in a day — it’s such a fun, sharp read. It follows a woman who thinks she’s living the perfect life… until it all starts to unravel. What I loved is how food is woven throughout – it becomes a ritual, a grounding force as everything else falls apart. It’s honest, funny, and would make a brilliant film.
FOOD
I picked up Midweek Recipes by Jess Elliott Dennison and it’s a total gem. We’ve already made at least 10 dishes, and every one has been a hit. It’s ideal if — like me — you get home from work wanting something delicious without a faff. Jess is a busy mum of two, runs her own business, and you can really feel that in how she writes. Our favourites so far? The lamb flatbreads and a chicken korma with ground almonds. Both sooo good.
HOMEWARE
This summer I discovered Feldspar ceramics, and I recently treated myself to a few pieces. They’re a small Devon-based studio, founded by a husband and wife who left London in search of a slower pace of life. Everything is made from fine bone china with subtle flashes of colour, soft dimples and slightly imperfect shapes. I picked up a pill-shaped plate that’s perfect for banana bread and a little trinket pot that now lives in my bathroom – the perfect home for my jewellery at the end of the day.
SNEAK PEEK
I’m so excited to be working with Jess Dennison (yes, the Midweek Recipes author!) on a special festive mini-series. She’ll be sharing some simple, seasonal recipes to help you through the Christmas season — and I can’t wait to see what you all make.
And that’s it for another edition of Life Beyond as we race towards the end of the year. I hope November brings you calm, comfort, and all the good stuff. Thanks for being here — and I’ll check in again soon.
X Naomi
